Plot Summary

"The Edge of the World, a massive spire of energy holding the boundaries between Open Range space and the Void apart, fabricated by a race of sentient beings known as the Dredge, possessing superior intellect and technology capable of great destruction. 2021, Earth is dying. The oceans are drying up, cities are becoming concrete wastelands overflowing with poverty, society begins to fall. June 2021, The Golden Ring, a massive "world resource" capable of stabilizing an entire planet's ecosystem is discovered and exploited by the powers of Earth. October 2021, The Dredge disclose the location of Earth and declare war on the human race, for the Golden Ring.  June 2022, After a massive series of defeats the united powers begin to panic,  and amass the last remaining armada of allied vessels."

Prologue 

"On December 17th 2023, the Sentinel United Fleet and the Royal Brigidiers, under the command of CNC were ordered to launch a massive offensive on the Edge of the World in a final desperate attempt to get the Golden Ring back. Thousands of warships flanked by fast fighters participated in the assault, Sentinel and RBG losses were beyond devastating. A small unit of sentinels were able to slip past the shingle, and proceed into the Spire. Shortly after, the unit was ambushed by a Dredge patrol, and forced into captivity. General Rain Silves, alongside long time friend and war hero Isaiah "Faust" Faustin, and new recruit Private Vandall Jacuzza were the three lone survivors of the offensive. The Dredge Commodore oversaw the aprehension of the trio, and forced General Silves to select one of his fellow soldiers to live, or die. The General refuses to speak, and the Commodore selects Private Vandall. Afterwards, knocking the surviving two unconsious and jettisons them back to Earth. Shortly after the failed offensive, The Dredge complete the "Planet Killer" cannon, and launch a diversionary attack on the remainder of Earth's global defense system. Dredge stingers and warships draw the attention of the remaining gun batteries, giving time to warp in the cannon. Given a window of oporotunity, Earth's powers declare a global emergency, and order a global evacuation. Many are able to escape Earth. The cannon completes its charging phase, and opens fire on Earth. Seeing the cannon open fire, the Captain of a flagship orders his crew to plow into the cannon. The ship bares full speed towards the cannon, and impales it. Nullifying the damage impacted on Earth. 2 weeks passed before Earth negotiated a complete surrender to the Dredge. 100 years later, General Rain Silves alongside Isaiah Faustin, are awakened from cryosleep. The duo emerge into this new world of darkness, accompanied by a band of allies and rebels willing to aid their cause, General Silves sets out on the journey of his life, to purge the world of the cancer that has forced even the strongest of nations into submission."
